Besides the “Assimilation” crossover comics, I know there have been other DW-related things in Trek, like the Classic Doctor actors named in “The Neutral Zone” at the end of TNG season 1. But, there was also that time ship in an episode of “Enterprise” which was bigger on the inside. I think that a proper, full crossover would have to be with the Doctor appearing in Trek, rather than some sort of reason where characters from Trek go over to DW. I definitely think it could work, especially with the most recent DW season doing a lot where they’re breaking down the walls of reality, the multiverse etc. Even the Doctor commenting on the score for the show, along with 4th wall breaks. At the absolute very least, they could do it in animation, as they could even bring back the older casts.

If there was a crossover, it has to be John de Lancie's Q appearing in the Tardis being his usual omnipotent self mocking Timelords.

Sovereign Class is missing, also the Lakota Reft of the Excelsior, and what about the Borg ships? I would not rank the Defiant and the Bug Ships so high. Defiant is powerful yes, but just an escort,. Bug Ships are throw away ships, the Dominion could easily have them flying suicide missions. and what about the Nebula? Clearly superior to the Galor. Klingon BoPs are scouts and ambushers. They will loose to an Excelsior, Ambassador , New Orleans etc.And what about the heavy cruisers/battleships the Vulcans used in ENT? The Breen warship is also weak. As soon as Federation engineers developed a counter to the energy dampening weapon, the ship were easy pickings for Klingons, Romulans and the Federation.

It'd have to be a charity thing, after all, 29thC Starfleet wanted to blow Voyager to bits for a temporal fudge-up that wasn't actulaly their doing, so 29thC Starfleet would be sending the entire fleet after the tardis to stop the doc from constantly fudging up the past, present and future, cos he's a bigger temporal menace than starships named Enterprise... :P

I thought the Drone episode was their best shot. A highly advances 29th Century drone could not figure out how to get Voyager home instantly? Also what about the tech from the Citherians in the TNG Episode Nth degree? That got the Enterprise across 30,000 light years instantly. How could that knowledge not be in a Voyager database somewhere? Oh well. They could have sent Voyager home, then sent Voyager back to the Delta Quadrant on additional missions to keep the show going.

They had to install the flamethrowers after they ran out of explodium to make the wiring.

No. Dr Who is a great idea, ALWAYS delivered crap. Star Trek.... yeah ok, some bad versions recently. Please keep crap away from quality.... If Dr Who ever got a "proper" reboot - -full budget etc - which in itself would loose the fan base - I;d watch it. But no - I don't want it tainting my ST waters....

I can't remember the source but I had once read that the Breen Confederation was made up by several species and they all wore the same outfits so not to reveal what species they are (for equality reasons). So some might need the "beak" and some others not.

Here's A crossover for you. Star Trek Star Wars and Doctor Who in three movies. The first film should be Star Trek like. The second one should have A Doctor Who feel. And of course the third movie has to end with A big Bang so it has to be A Star Wars big ending. As in one of the biggest battle you just have to see on the big screen.

No, because of different genres. Dr. Who is fantasy with elements of sci-fi (sometimes strong sci-fi elements in an episode like "Boom"). Star Trek stems from pulp sci-fi traditions. The science of Trek can be admittedly "wibbly-wobbly ". There have always been fantasy elements in Trek - a case can be made that Trelate and Q are much closer to fantasy than traditional sci-fi. Still, I'm not wild about Trek going total fantasy.

In the IDW Star Trek Doctor Who crossover miniseries, the 11th Doctor, Amy, and Rory materialize the Tardis on the Enterprise D holodeck and initially think that everything there is real. Eventually, the TNG crew and the Doctor need to team up to fight the Borg, who have joined forces with the Cybermen. They have an issue with a "flashback" in which the 4th Doctor meets Captain Kirk. Very worth a read. How about they make it into an animated film...

I would like an ep of Dr. Who like the episode of Legends of Tomorrow where they went back and met Gorge Lucas and how the future would change with out his movies, imagine the world with out star trek, but rather than Rodenberry I would love it to focus on DC Fontana and her contribution

Both of the shows have referenced or employed some sort of "null space" that exists "in between" whatever (as in when Burnham encountered the ISS Enterprise) right? So if you want them to meet, have them encounter each other in such a null space. maybe there's a planet that got trapped in there and they have to work together to save those people? Seems a neat way to have them in the same story but NOT ultimately in the same universe (potentially, each are a fictional world in the other's reality - there's a long history of a trope in SF of "every fictional universe is actually a real universe somewhere" so...there ya go.

If they did do a straight up cross over where the tardis lands on the enterpise and meets captain pike, kirk whoever, why not just state beforehand it isnt necessarily set in either the trek or whoniverse, its its own thing. You dont have to worry about contradicting cannon and just go along with the fun of seeing these 2 shows meet.

Both franchises do cross into different universes as necessary. I'm all for it!

To me, when the Companion asked "is that like Star Trek", it was stating that Star Trek is a show in the Doctor Who universe. So maybe the Doctor (Who) wants to visit the Star Trek sets. They could have an episode where the Star Trek cast guest stars as themselves. I also remember reading something sometime way back that basically said that any created fictional universe actually pops into existence somewhere. So it would be very cool to be able to jump between those different universes.

If you want the science then read about the Copenhagen Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics and the observer collapsing the wave function.

I wouldn't watch it, but if they made it as a standalone thing with no encroachment to either universe's story or legacy, it wouldn't be the end of the world (pun intended).

I want to put an idea out there. Robert A Heinlein wrote a storey in the late 80's called the Number Of The Beast. The essential premiss of the book is that fiction, if read by enough minds can creat that reality. So the stories of OZ, The Grey Lensman stories, The bible all exist as realities in which the portaganists travel through and have adventures in. This could be a premiss to the current stories fo Dr Who. Fantasy becomes reality if enough people believe!

Scotty bringing the dying kid to the bridge was the Stupidest, dumbest, most moronic, nonsensical, ridiculous, idiotic, illogical, useless obtuse and pathetic scene in all of star trek, perhaps all of sci fi, perhaps even all of cinematic production history. Is the word given Captain? Yes the word is given. The word is STOOPID!!!

It would be like having James Bond run into Dumbledore, a moment of whimsy and fan service followed by years of cringe and duct-taped head cannon in a vain attempt to dismiss it.

What could be fun, the Doctor and SNW Enterprise run into some spacy wacy timey wimey anomaly. Where both see each other as fictional characters, of a 20-21st century Sci-fi franchise. After a bit of mutual distrust of each other because it is obvious that they are being deceived. They soon realized it was some technobable, and they indeed both authentic and fictional. Where then they join together to solve the issue and get back to normal, probably with a joke towards the Enterprise crew about hitting a big old refrest button.

As a fan of Star Trek and Dr Who, I am all for it.
